Ministry

I Ministry sono un gruppo industrial metal statunitense, formatosi a Chicago nel 1981.

Sono considerati i capostipiti del loro genere, che mescola metal, synth rock e la musica elettronica in genere. Inoltre hanno influenzato altri gruppi simili relativamente più recenti, come Nine Inch Nails, Fear Factory e Static-X.

L'unico componente stabile della band è il cantante e polistrumentista Al Jourgensen, che al suo attivo ha anche vari progetti collaterali.

gruppo di fondamentale importanza per l'industrial. The Land Of Rape And Honey è uno dei punti più alti toccati dal genere. infine è arrivata la svolta metal che comunque, a parte Psalm 69 e il pessimo Filth Pig, ha regalato buonissimi album.

Conosco solo Psalm69:ottimo album,nonostante questo non sia il mio genere preferito credo che li approfondirò

penso che gli album che ti piaceranno di più saranno quelli che vanno da Animositisomina a Rio Grande Blood, ma prova comunque pure The Land Of Rape And Honey e The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste che sono più industrial puro.
intanto ho rivalutato completamente Psalm 69, mentre Dark Side Of The Spoon, nonostante possieda l'ottima Bad Blood, è tra quelli che mi piacciono l'album che mi piace di meno.

Ministry's days are numbered, according to group leader Al Jourgensen.

Jourgensen, who has led the group and its numerous side projects since 1981, says that after Ministry finishes its current MasterBaTour, he plans to go right back into the studio for what he says will be "the last Ministry album." And, he promises, this is no cheap ploy to get attention for the band.

"I've got other things to do," Jourgensen explains. "I just started a label (13th Planet Records), and I want to sign some bands and really build it up like I did with WaxTrax in the '80s, not just a vanity label. I think it's time -- and I'll be leaving on the top of my game instead of hanging on too long and doing crappy Aerosmith and Rolling Stones albums 30 years later."

"The next one's going to be called 'The Last Sucker,' and it's also about this corrupt administration. That seems to be my muse; everyone seems to think I write real shitty music when a Democrat's in office. So we'll do that one, and then me and George Bush go riding off hand-in-hand, into the sunset."

Errata corrige: l'aveva annunciato già l'anno scorso lo scioglimento. io pirla
tempo fa ascoltai The Last Sucker, mi ha piacevolmente sorpreso. dopo The Land Of Rape And Honey, The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste e Psalm 69 è l'album che mi piace di più. End Of Days Part. 1 e 2 è un degno canto del cigno per un gruppo di fondamentale importanza.
